The Enchanting Zoë Gershwin

So I'm writing this book about a little girl called Zoë, who happens to be a witch. One day, her parents go out to a concert and leave her and her insufferable little brother Oscar at home with a rather unpleasant babysitter. Soon enough she is sent to her room for misbehaving. Brooding there, she decides to cast a spell to animate her favorite doll, Babette, so she can have someone to play with. She knows she isn't supposed to cast spells without supervision, because she is still learning, but she's sure she can handle it, after having tested her powers earlier by successfully making the cookies march from the kitchen up to her room... Anyways, she zaps her doll with her magic wand and Babette really does come to life! Success! The problem is that all the other toys in the house also "wake up". This is quite fun at first, like a big party, but it turn out toys can be quite unruly and independent minded. Indeed, they disobey all the rules Zoë tries to set and eventually run amok all over the house. The rebellious toys are led by an imperious mean-girl Barbie-type doll called Petula. Now, Zoë must hurry to restore order; free the hysterical babysitter who is held hostage by Petula and her plastic dinosaur henchmen; return her little brother who she has "accidentally" turned into a monkey to normal; and clean up the house before her parents come home!
